Get Involved - Our Community Needs a Stage!

Construction is underway on the Folsom Lake College Regional Visual and Performing Arts Center!

Something unique is happening in our regional community, and this is your opportunity to be involved! Folsom Lake College, one of the fastest growing community colleges in the nation, is committed to nurturing the next generation of performing artists and opening up a world of culture to children and families in our region with a new Regional Visual and Performing Arts Center.

Construction is underway on the center that will present our community with the best in live performances from diverse traditions and disciplines. Artistic excellence, quality education, and public accessibility are fundamental to the vision of the 80,000 square-feet, state-of-the-art educational and entertainment center. with an 850-seat maith theatre, a 200-seat City Studio, a 100-seat recital hall, rehearsal spaces, practice rooms, art lab space, and the Bank of America art gallery, the center will deliver a full spectrum of educational services designed to instruct, develop, and guide talented and interested students: actors, musicians, vocalists, dancers, artists, and behind the curtain technicians. Additionally, the center will provide the region, including K-12 schools throughout the area, with a prestigious venue in which to experience arts and culture on local, national, and international levels. Performances by students and regional arts organizations along with professional touring companies will provide over 400 annual performances in the center. Grand Opening events are scheduled for late 2010.

The Center will clearly serve as an educational and cultural beacon in our community, and your involvement is needed to help make the center a reality. Find out how to get involved, and help us make the Visual and Peforming Arts Center a crown jewel in our community!
