When did you start taking classes with Folsom Lake College (FLC)?

Spring 2008

What is your major?

There is so much math required for engineering that I am aiming for an A.S. in Mathematics from FLC. My eyes are set on a B.S. in Civil Engineering from Sac State.

Why did you choose FLC?

The faculty are the finest educators in the region, arguably making FLC the wise choice. FLC offers life changing direction and makes success stories out of those who walk these halls. FLC is highly recommended, after attending classes here, I now know why.

What has been the best part of your experience with FLC?

The best part of my experience at FLC has been the unparalleled encouragement I have received from a vast support network the college makes available to every student. Tutoring to job placement assistance, FLC clearly leads the way!

What are you particularly proud of that you have accomplished with FLC?

I once felt I would have difficulty succeeding academically, yet after attending FLC I am particularly proud of myself for taking that first step to higher education. I can succeed!

How do you feel Folsom Lake College is helping you prepare for the future?

Folsom Lake College has positively influenced my overall outlook on life. This is a bold statement, but it is true: This college has made me a better person. I will use the knowledge gained within these walls to strive for a career that promotes a richer quality of life for all my fellow citizens. Special Thanks to the Folsom Lake College Foundation for extending a scholarship to see my dreams become a reality!

What would you like to do after you leave FLC?

FLC is undoubtedly a powerful stepping stone to success! I have many dreams that reach far beyond the walls of FLC. I must first work tirelessly to finish my engineering degree while spending more time with my three year old. Beyond those hurdles, I will work vigorously as an engineer to design environmentally friendly concepts for the international community.
