Career Options & Highlights
Folsom Lake College’s Art curriculum offers introductory and intermediate level courses in painting, drawing, sculpture, ceramics, printmaking, and design, as well as courses in art appreciation and art history. Through the program’s art theory and art practice classes, students develop an awareness and understanding of the materials, tools, rationale, and significance of art in society. The art curriculum’s critical thinking and technical skills components encourage students to utilize independent thought processes and problem-solving. This program provides transfer and employment opportunities, as well as personal enrichment for students. The art faculty is composed of professional artists with diverse specializations encompassing the spectrum of the classes offered.
