Learning Skills (LTAT)

Learning, Tutoring and Academic Technology

Career Options & Highlights

Learning Skills coordinates a constellation of free peer education centers and services on Folsom Lake College’s three sites. All programs are staffed by current and former students dedicated to helping their peers succeed. We are united by the belief that we all have the potential to increase our brainpower and our academic abilities and that working in small group or one-on-one settings with a more knowledgeable peer is one of the most effective ways to advance. Our peer educators are committed to working with anyone who has a desire to learn; to stimulating students’ critical thinking by asking facilitative questions; and to upholding the highest standards of academic integrity.
