Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT)

Medical Laboratory Technician Costs

What is the cost of the MLT program?

Apart from college enrollment fees, students are responsible for a background check, drug screen, and all required immunizations -with documentation. The background check and immunizations must be completed prior to the first day of class. Drug screens must be completed 30 days prior to beginning a clinical rotation.

Students must provide their own health insurance for on-campus labs and classes in the event of an injury as a result of on-campus activities. Students are not covered by any form of school insurance when in the classroom or the campus lab. Students will be covered at clinical sites by workman's compensation insurance should an injury occur. Information on low cost health insurance can be obtained via the ARC Student Health Center.

While on clinical rotations, MLT students are covered by a liability insurance policy. Each student is financially responsible for a pro-rated portion of the liability insurance as well as costs associated with Basic Life Support/CPR training and Fit testing.

In addition, students will be individually responsible for fees associated with obtaining their MLT Licensure.

Other Expenses include: textbooks, lab coat, class supplies, and transportation.
