Nutrition and Foods (NUTRI)

Career Options & Highlights

Folsom Lake College’s Nutrition department prepares the student for further study in nutrition and foods or a program in dietetics.

Note to transfer students: If your goal is to transfer to a four-year institution to obtain a bachelor's degree in nutrition or dietetics, you must meet with a counselor and plan the courses for your major. Schools have different requirements for transfer
and bachelor's degrees.

Some career options require more than two years of college, and may require certification in dietetics after a bachelor's degree.
