Kristen Koch, MA

Kristen Koch is a new adjunct faculty member at Folsom Lake College. She is thrilled to be a part of the Los Rios Community College District. Kristen has seen Folsom Lake College grow over the years - she first attended the college as a junior at Oak Ridge High School, when FLC had one building and a few portables. It was at Folsom Lake College that she was introduced to and found a passion for Art History.

Kristen graduated with highest honors from UC Davis with a B.A. in Art History and went on to complete her Master's Degree in Art History at UC Davis as well. At UCD, her areas of research included Architectural History, American Art, and Eighteenth and Nineteenth Century European Art.

Kristen believes in a collaborative approach to learning and that engaging students in interactive activities encourages critical thinking. She is constantly inspired by her students. Outside of the classroom, Kristen enjoys traveling and spending time with her friends, family, and her little dog, Mary Cassatt.
