Big Day of Giving

Los Rios Foundation
April 20, 2018

Join us on Thursday, May 3, 2018 for the Big Day of Giving as the greater Sacramento region comes together for this annual 24-hour giving challenge.

Give to the Los Rios Community College District & Folsom Lake College

This year, your donation will directly support our Textbook Assistance Program. A community college education may be one of the most affordable in higher education, but textbooks still average $1,918 a year for our students. Many Los Rios and Folsom Lake College students face the difficult decision of whether to buy textbooks or pay for basic necessities like food, rent, and transportation.

That's why we need you! On this Day of Giving, we hope you will help Los Rios students focus on completing their education by donating to the Textbook Assistance Program. Because no would should have to decide between going hungry or paying for school books.

Give to the Harris Center for the Arts

The Harris Center for the Arts strengthens community through memorable performances. In only its seventh season, the Harris Center has become a beloved amenity in the Capital Region, creating a bridge between campus and community and helping couples, families, and friends strengthen their bond through shared experience of live shows. Donor and Visual & Performing Arts Dean BJ Snowden explains how your gift can help this shared learning and professional facility.

How You Can Make A Difference

  1. Spread the word. Tell your friends, post on Facebook, and tweet about it. This is an opportunity to be part of something really big.
  2. On Thursday, May 3, make a donation (starting as small as $25).
