Just Dance!

The community is invited to attend a series of arts events this November and December presented by Folsom Lake College’s Music, Visual Arts, and Dance Departments:

Reception for Los Rios Community College District Adjunct Visual Arts Faculty Invitational

FLC Afro-Cuban Funk Band performance: "Jazz After Dark"
Friday, November 18, 10pm, Three Stages, Stage 2/City Studio. Specializing in the music of West-Africa and Cuba, the Folsom Lake College Afro-Cuban Funk Band (ACF) roots its music firmly in those musical traditions, while retaining a deep commitment to improvisation: no two performances are ever the same. Having attracted attention on six continents, the band's enthusiasm is infectious, weaving in influences from funk/r&b, jazz, ska, and reggae into a special late night club-style atmosphere. Tickets are $5 for students (with student ID) and $10 for regular admission. For tickets, go to: www.threestages.net

Evening of Dance
Thursday, December 1, 6-8pm, Three Stages, Stage 1. Under the direction of Professor Debi Worth, these popular events feature a collage of choreographic dance-art, an array of dance styles including Ballet, Jazz, Tap, Hip-Hop, Contemporary, Musical Theatre Dance, Modern, and Ethnic/Folk.
