Dance Students

Dance Students

The community is invited to attend a series of arts events presented by Folsom Lake College’s Art, Music, and Dance Departments. Events will be held at Folsom Lake College’s main campus (10 College Parkway in Folsom) and El Dorado Center (6699 Campus Drive in Placerville). All events are free to the public.

Annual Student Art Show: Open through Friday, May 8 in the El Dorado Center Library. Final reception will be held Wednesday, May 6 from 4-6pm.

College Choir: Tuesday, May 6 at 7pm, Folsom campus, Dogwood Hall, room FL4-239 .

SPRING STUDENT RECITAL: Thursday, May 7, 7pm, Dogwood Hall, Room FL4-239

Evening of Dance: Thursday, May 7 from 6-8pm on the Folsom campus in the PE building, room 203 (Dance Studio); includes Ballet, Jazz, Hip-Hop, Modern, and Student Choreography; collaborations between the Creative Writing Classes and Dance students to create “Poetry in Motion” presentations; healthy appetizers will be prepared by the Nutrition Department.

Jazz Choir Concert: Friday, May 8 at 7pm on the Folsom campus in front of the Falcon's Roost.

Instrumental Music Small Ensemble Recital: “Experiment In Song”: Friday, May 8 at 8pm on the Folsom campus in the Courtyard next to Aspen Hall. The evening of music will represent a wide variety of genres including folk, various forms of rock, such as indie, heavy metal, improvisation, and electronica. Concertgoers will hear a spectrum of ensembles: from a duo for cello and piano, to a trio of voices and guitar, to a piece for the full ensemble, which consists of multiple guitarists and bassists, drummers and percussionists, keyboardists and vocalists, a French hornist and clarinetist, and a cellist.

Admission to each event is free (a daily parking pass can be purchased for $1). Maps to the campus can be found here.
