Promise Program

FLC PISO
January 24, 2017

Rancho Cordova's Class of 2017 will have the opportunity to attend their first year of Folsom Lake College fee-free thanks to the Folsom Lake College/Rancho Cordova College Promise program. Applications for funding for the 2017-18 academic year will be accepted February 1 - March 31, 2017.

To receive funding, students must be a current resident of Rancho Cordova, graduate from high school or receive a GED during the 2016-17 academic year, and plan to enroll at Folsom Lake College full-time for the Fall 2017 semester. All students who meet these qualifications, regardless of income or high school GPA, and complete the online Promise application during the February 1 - March 31 application window will receive funding for their first semester. For more information and to apply, go to: www.flc.losrios.edu/promise.

This innovative grant program was jointly announced by Folsom Lake College, the Folsom Lake College Foundation, and the City of Rancho Cordova last June. Initial funding was provided by the City of Rancho Cordova's Community Enhancement Fund as well as a corporate gift from Dignity Health. If you would like to give, go to: www.flc.losrios.edu/community/foundation. This is the first Promise program in the region with plans to launch a Los Rios Community College District-led regional Promise program in the future.
