Blood Drive

FLC PISO
October 20, 2017

BloodSource will be holding a community blood drive on Tuesday, October 31, 2017 from 10:00am-2:00pm at Folsom Lake College's Rancho Cordova Center (10259 Folsom Blvd., off Mather Field Rd./Paseo Dr. - map to RCC).

Following the tragedy in Las Vegas on October 1, community members quickly rallied to help those affected by donating money, giving blood, and sharing messages of hope and support. The college's other fall blood drive stops at the Main Folsom campus and El Dorado Center yielded a combined 249 pints of lifesaving blood donated by 328 people (176 of whom were first timers). Since blood collected only lasts 42 days, efforts are needed to replenish blood banks into the month of November, which is traditionally a very challenging time for blood collection.

To donate, please bring a photo ID, have a good breakfast and/or lunch, and come well-hydrated. Please allow approximately 2 hours for the donation process. For more information, contact Felicia LaMothe with BloodSource at (916) 453-3058 or felicia.lamothe@bloodsource.org.
