FLC Music Department presents Great Choruses: Choral POP...from Opera to Rock!
Tuesday, May 1, 7:30pm, Stage 1
The concert features the 60 plus combined FLC Choral ensembles from both day and evening choir, and will include famous opera choruses and several popular '60s and '70s Rock tunes. The concert will also feature English composer John Rutter's rarely performed POP work, "Fancies," which will be accompanied by a chamber orchestra. The concert will highlight the newly created FLC Chamber Singers. The music is appropriate for mature children and families. Tickets are $12-$14.

FLC Dance Department presents Evening of Dance featuring MOSAIC Dance Company
Thursday, May 3, 6:00pm,  Stage 1
Showcasing an array of different dance styles including ballet, jazz, tap, hip-hop, contemporary, musical theatre, and ethnic forms, FLC's Evening of Dance is a MOSAIC of dances and an enjoyable evening out. Come support some of the region's most dynamic and skilled college dancers! Featuring students enrolled in Folsom Lake College's Dance Program, the MOSAIC Dance Company will delight the senses with compelling and visceral dances. Tickets are $10-$15.

FLC presents Youth Chamber Orchestra Spring Concert
Saturday, May 5 at 7:00pm, and Sunday, May 6 at 2:00pm, Stage 3/Scott-Skillman Recital Hall
The Folsom Lake College Youth Chamber Orchestra inspires music appreciation and excellence among young people ages 12-18, and aims to increase community awareness of and participation in the musical experiences of area youth. Led by Dr. Evgeniy Sporov, the Youth Chamber Orchestra is made possible by a generous donation from the Robert S. and Star Pepper Foundation. Tickets are $10-$15. 

FLC Music Department presents FLC Music Fest featuring Commercial Music Ensemble and guest artists
Thursday, May 10, 7:00pm, Stage 2/City Studio Theater
This year's show will be headlined by the Commercial Music Ensemble, an 11-member group of multi-instrumentalists and vocalists performing their special blend of global hybrid art pop music. Selections by David Bowie, Stone Temple Pilots, Nina Simone, TV on the Radio, Tom Petty, and others. They will be joined by Afro-Caribbean Funk, featuring the department's new Trinidadian Steel Pan ensemble, as well as the blues-rock band Music, Inc. from Rosemont High School and local indie-rock phenoms Free Minds Rising. Tickets are $5-$10.
