The Crucible

FLC PISO
October 14, 2013

"The Crucible" runs Oct. 25-Nov. 10

"The Crucible" runs Oct. 25-Nov. 10

The Falcon's Eye Theatre at Folsom Lake College announces its fall 2013 production of Arthur Miller's devastating parable, The Crucible. This is the first production in the seventh full season from The Falcon's Eye.

The Crucible takes place in the scorching context of the 17th-century Salem witch trials and unravels a tale of human struggles both internal and external. The Crucible is a community galvanized by fear and suspicion, a wife betrayed by lust, an orphan girl blind with passion and obsessed with revenge, ruthless prosecutors, deluded holy men and covetous neighbors. Arthur Miller's script pulses with the destructiveness of socially sanctioned violence, the power of hysteria and rancor, the blindness of zealots, and the heart of one tortured man trying to find his own goodness.

The Crucible opens on Friday, October 25 and will continue through Sunday, November 10. Below is performance time and price information:
- Friday and Saturday nights at 7:30pm; $15.00 general admission, $10.00 students and seniors.
- Sunday afternoons at 2pm; $15.00 general admission, $10.00 students and seniors.
- There are two extra performances, Thursday, October 31, at 7:30pm and Saturday, November 9 at 2:00pm. All tickets for these two performances only are specially priced for students at only $5.00. Students with any kind of valid student ID from any institution are admitted for only $5.00 FOR THESE PERFORMANCES ONLY. Regular ticket prices remain for non-student patrons on these dates.

Performances take place in The City Studio at the Harris Center for the Arts on the campus of Folsom Lake College. To purchase tickets, click here. Tickets may also be purchased by phone at 916-608-6888. Some service charges can be avoided by purchasing your tickets in person. Visit the Harris Center Ticket Office at 10 College Parkway in Folsom. The office is open between 10 am and 6 pm Monday through Saturday and is always open two hours before any performance.
