The region's newest performing and visual arts center, Three Stages at Folsom Lake College, kicks off its grand opening festivities with a free community Open House and official ribbon-cutting on Friday, February 4, starting at 3:30pm. Tours of Three Stages continue that evening until 6:30pm.
The event will begin with brief remarks from Folsom Lake College and Los Rios Community College District representatives, as well as local elected officials. Three Stages will then be officially opened with a ribbon-cutting. Self-guided tours will follow, ending at 6:30pm, with docents available throughout the facility to answer questions and point out Three Stages' many notable features. This event is presented free of charge; parking is also free.
"February 4 is a big, big day for our campus," noted Dr. Thelma Scott-Skillman, President of Folsom Lake College. "I invite the communities of our region to come out and celebrate with us as we open Three Stages."
For those who are not able to attend Feb. 4, there will be a second Open House offered Sunday, Feb. 6, from 1-5pm, with self-guided tours and docents. Once again, the event is free of charge and parking is free.
Three Stages is just getting started with its grand opening celebrations! Other events include the Feb. 5 Community Showcase, Feb. 11 Gala opening with "A Chorus Line," Feb. 12-13 performances of "A Chorus Line," and the Feb. 14 "Sugar & Spice" Valentine's Day concert from the Folsom Symphony.
