In-Kind Gifts

As Folsom Lake College strives to meet the higher education needs of our community, the need for real life teaching tools is growing and so is our need for donations and support to acquire such items. Our in-kind donation needs includ various skeleton models, laboratory equipment, computers, audio visual equipment, automobiles, and even props and costumes for the theater department.

Donation of Gifts-In-Kind Procedure

In-kind donations offer businesses and individuals the opportunity to give excess merchandise, materials, or services while receiving the full tax benefits of a cash donation.  If you are a donor interested in making an in-kind donation to the college, please contact us at (916) 608-6643 and we can help guide you through the process.

In-Kind Donation Form for Donors

If you are a faculty or staff member that has been contacted by a donor about an in-kind donation, please download the following documentto help make the process go as smoothly as possible.

In-Kind Donation Form for Faculty/Staff

Please note that neither the college nor the Foundation shall appraise a gift. Values placed on contributions and appraisals offered in support of such values for tax purposes shall be the responsibility of the donor. Prior to the receipt of any in-kind gift, the person acting as agent for the college will provide the donor with a Gift In Kind Form, securing all necessary documentation with signatures from the donor. The college agent will then sign as the person requesting the contribution and submit all paperwork to the Foundation Office for approval. Gifts should not be accepted until approval has been granted from the Foundation Director.

The Folsom Lake College Foundation is an affiliate of the Los Rios Foundation; a California non-profit, public benefit corporation and is tax-exempt as provided by IRS Sec. 501 (c)(3).
