Give to Scholarships

Although community colleges provide the best value in higher education, many students require assistance with fees, books, and supplies. A large percentage of our students are working either full-time or part-time in order to pursue higher education. Your support and investment in the student scholarship program opens up avenues to higher education that are out of reach for many individuals throughout our community. When you support the Folsom Lake College Foundation Student Scholarship program, you enable students to focus on their educational goals and to take steps toward the realization of their potential.

How You Can Help You can support our scholarship program in different ways. The first is by giving to the President's Circle and selecting "Foundation Scholarships" from the drop-down menu.  The President's Circle supports our Foundation scholarship program. Any amount can make a big difference in the lives of students.

Named Scholarship You can create a scholarship in your name, the name of your business, or even a loved one, for as little as $500.  Creating a scholarship in your name, or in honor of a loved one, is one of the most direct ways to support student success. Such a gift allows you to direct the scholarship to support students majoring in particular programs or areas of study that match your interest.

Endowed Scholarship Endowed scholarships are made in honor of a special person, event or organization, and are a perpetual gift to the college. Once the endowment reaches a predetermined amount, the interest from the endowment is used to fund yearly scholarships.

If you are interested in supporting the Folsom Lake College Foundation scholarship or creating your own named or endowed scholarship, please give online or contact us. If you are interested in providing an external scholarship NOT through the Foundation, please contact Jonathan Miranda, Financial Aid Officer, at MirandJ@flc.losrios.edu. Thank you!
