Student Emergency Fund

For many students, cash is already tight so when an emergency arises these students are faced with financial difficulties that can take a toll on their personal and academic lives. The Los Rios Foundation stewards the Student Emergency Fund which provides immediate financial assistance to FLC students involved in a catastrophic or emergency situation where circumstances are sudden, unexpected, and/or affect a student's ability to function. All awards are contingent on availability of funds. Emergency examples include but are not limited to: an accident, illness, travel for a funeral, fire damages, or need for temporary housing.
