At Folsom Lake College, our students are the center of everything we do. Our mission is to enrich and empower students by providing them with the programs, support services, and opportunities they need to be successful. We are committed to changing lives. Because of our open admissions policy, we are the first chance for some, a second chance for many, and for others perhaps the only chance to reach their educational goals--at a fraction of the cost of other colleges and universities.

The FLC Foundation's main purpose is to help our students fulfill their educational goals.  It is often financial reasons that stand between a student and their education.  For this reason, several programs are in place to help close the gap.  These include:
  • President's CirclePresident's Circle members are special friends and supporters of Folsom Lake College President Rachel Rosenthal. President's Circle donors contribute unrestricted funds to help support the Folsom Lake College Foundation and enable the foundation to respond to the students' and college's greatest needs including student scholarships, textbook underwriting, vital student services and special projects. Members play a vital role in continuing the legacy of excellence at Folsom Lake College. Please consider joining today!
  • FLC Foundation Scholarship Program:The FLC Foundation awarded 41 scholarships for the 2015-16 academic year, ranging from $250 to $1,500.  The scholarship application period is during the beginning of each spring semester, and is offered through our online system.
  • Mini-Grants:  The FLC Foundation provides grants of up to $1,000 to innovative programs created by students, faculty and staff.  We encourage student groups and clubs to seek funding for their projects through the Mini Grant program.  Examples of programs that have been funded in the past include:
    • The Student/Veteran Food Cabinet
    • Folsom Lake College Earth Day
    • Makerspace 3D Printer
