El Dorado Center Patrons Club

The 2018 luncheon will be held on:

Thursday, April 26th at 12:00 pm
Cold Springs Community Church
2600 Cold Springs Rd, Placerville, CA 95667

The goal of the Patrons Club is to serve as a liaison between the Folsom Lake College El Dorado Center and the community. Help our students reach their educational goals by becoming a member of the Patrons Club. For membership information, please contact Barbara Peters, President of the Patrons Club at (530) 677-8515 or Diana Erickson (530) 391-8394.

Monthly luncheon meetings are held on the El Dorado Center campus the 4th Friday of each month, September through April. These monthly meetings include an update on campus activities, a program of guest speakers from the college and the community, and a wide variety of topics.

A scholarship luncheon is held in the spring with proceeds providing student scholarships. Patron members also have the opportunity to meet new and returning faculty members and be involved with the college as it grows.

The first meeting of the Patrons Club was held on September 30, 1967 in the multipurpose room of the Placerville Fairgrounds. From this small beginning, the Patrons have grown, providing invaluable support for Folsom Lake College El Dorado Center and its students.

Club Objectives

  • Serve as a liaison between the Folsom Lake College El Dorado Center and the community.
  • Enlighten members through lectures and discussions.
  • Contribute to the cultural enrichment of the community which Folsom Lake College El Dorado Center serves.
  • Provide counsel to the Folsom Lake College El Dorado Center in the development of an outstanding community college.
  • Support the Patrons' Club Scholarship Fund, providing assistance to students attending Folsom Lake College El Dorado Center and the Foslom Lake College Rancho Cordova Center.

Ways you can help the Patrons Club help students:

  1. Join the Patrons! Membership is only $20 a year and you can choose any level of commitment right for you.
  2. Make a donation to support student scholarship for the Folsom Lake College El Dorado Center and the Folsom Lake College Rancho Cordova Center. For example, each year the Patrons present the Joyce Gossner Scholarship Awards to eligible graduating students from each of the six high schools in western El Dorado County, as well as continuing and returning Folsom Lake College El Dorado Center and Folsom Lake College Rancho Cordova Center students.
