Rancho Cordova Promise Program

RCC and students

The Folsom Lake College/Rancho Cordova College Promise is an innovative grant program launched by Folsom Lake College, the Folsom Lake College Foundation/Los Rios Colleges Foundation, and the City of Rancho Cordova. Rancho Cordova residents who graduate from high school during the 2018-19 academic year will be able to attend their first year of Folsom Lake College fee-free (up to 12 units/semester for the 2019-20 academic year). For those that also qualify for the Los Rios Promise or the California College Promise Grant (formerly the BOG Fee Waiver), Rancho Cordova Promise funds can then be used to pay for any remaining fees and for textbooks and class materials purchased through the FLC College Store.

2019-20 Rancho Cordova Promise application is now open.
Application period: November 1, 2018 - August 1, 2019.

Steps to apply for 2019-20 Rancho Cordova Promise program:

Promise icon Promise Step 1: Determine Eligibility

Do you meet the following Rancho Cordova Promise criteria?

  • Are you a current resident of Rancho Cordova? To verify if your address qualifies, go to: http://generalmap.gis.saccounty.net/JSViewer/county_portal.html and type in your home address in the top search bar. If the property information shows as the "Jurisdiction" of Rancho Cordova, your address qualifies. (Please Note: FLC reserves the right to request official documentation of your legal residence.)
  • Did you/will you graduate from high school or receive a GED from July 1, 2018 - June 30, 2019? (Note: High school location does not need to be in Rancho Cordova.)
  • Do you plan to enroll in Folsom Lake College for the Fall 2019 semester full-time (at least 12 units)?

If you answered YES to ALL of the above, please move on to Promise Step 2.
