Student Story

Christopher Bianchi
Current FLC student majoring in Business

"[Faculty and staff] gave me a sense that they really care to help students reach their goals."

Christopher Bianchi

When did you start taking classes with Folsom Lake College (FLC)?

I graduated from Del Oro High School in June of 2011, and I began taking classes at Folsom in the Fall of 2012.

What is your major?

My current major is business and I plan to focus on either administration, or finance.

Why did you choose FLC?

I chose FLC because I was impressed with the new facilities. It was also great to see a large availability of classes.

What has been the best part of your experience with FLC?

The best part of my FLC experience has been the relationships I have developed with staff and faculty on campus. They gave me a sense that they really care to help students reach their goals.

What are you particularly proud of that you have accomplished with FLC?

I'm particularly proud of the fact that I was involved in the process of developing a college certificate program, which will be available to students in future generations. Folsom Lake College has given me so much opportunity for success, and I'm proud I can give something back to the school.

How do you feel Folsom Lake College is helping prepare you for the future?

Folsom Lake College is helping me prepare for the future by giving me the opportunity to develop leadership and communication skills through its many clubs on campus. Through the college, I have learned valuable information through a wide array of classes. However, through those classes, I have also improved my learning skills as well.

What are your plans for the future?

I plan to transfer to either USC or to Berkeley Haas School of Business in the Fall of 2013.
