Current FLC Student

"[Three Stages] is such a beautiful venue and performing there is something I'll never forget."

Stefan Sorgea

When did you start taking classes with Folsom Lake College (FLC)?

I started taking classes with FLC during the fall of 2011.

What is your major?

I am currently undecided but am hoping to major in Musical Theatre

Why did you choose FLC?

I chose FLC because it is close to my home and I had heard nothing but great things about it

What has been the best part of your experience with FLC?

My best experience with FLC has been performing at Three Stages. It's such a beautiful venue and performing there is something I'll never forget.

What are you particularly proud of that you have accomplished with FLC?

Being a homeschool student all my life I was a little nervous to make the transition into the classroom. FLC made the transition easy and I felt comfortable right away. I've adapted well and received an A in my first college course.

How do you feel Folsom Lake College is helping prepare you for the future?

FLC has prepared me for the future by giving me confidence as a student and preparing me for the next step in my education.

What are your plans for the future?

My dream would be to stay involved in Musical Theatre in some way. Perhaps bringing art to kids who otherwise would not have the opportunity to be exposed to it.

Stefan has appeared in the following El Dorado Musical Theatre productions: Oklahoma!, 42nd Street, Annie Get Your Gun, High School Musical, Disney's Aladdin Jr., Seven Brides for Seven Brothers, The Wiz, Thoroughly Modern Millie, Annie, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, High School Musical 2, Les Miserables, Wizard of Oz, Grease, Crazy For You, Hairspray, Anything Goes, Curtains, Beauty and the Beast
