Zack Beshore
2008 Graduate; Degree in General Education Transfer

"I am proud of the opportunities FLC gave me to grow as a person."

Zack Beshore

When did you start taking classes with Folsom Lake College (FLC)?

2003

What was your major?

Business Accounting

Why did you choose FLC?

Distance to Home

What was the best part of your experience with FLC?

The great friends I made working with Student Government.

What are you particularly proud of that you accomplished with FLC?

I am proud of the opportunities FLC gave me to grow as a person (conferences, student leadership, contacts). I also Like that I got to see the school turn into a real college and move out of portables more and more. Getting permanent buildings was a great step for FLC in its path to greatness.

How do you feel Folsom Lake College helped prepare you for the future?

FLC helped me get ready for my passage to getting my 4-year degree and helped me realize my desire to continue after that to get a masters degree. I will be going to Sac State next spring to start that program and I plan to get it done in 3 years. FLC also helped me realize my potential as a student and my desire to get involved.

What are you doing now?

I am in my second year at Humboldt State University and preparing to graduate in May. I have switched my major from Accounting to Management to better reflect my interests. I am very active with both on-campus housing student leadership and the university's student leadership council. I also have manged to make so many valuable friends at HSU that I hope to keep for many years to come.
