Effective Fall 2015, the state of California has made it easier to get an education at FLC by offering in-state tuition for active military members and their dependents, as well as veterans who have been honorably discharged. Any veteran or dependent who meets the criteria as outlined by Assembly Bill 13 is eligible for a Non-Resident tuition exemption. Please see Admissions & Records for details about this exemption.
CONTINUING STUDENTS: • Turn in your FLC VA Request for Certification form to the VA Certifying Official. We do not assume you will be using your GI Bill, so we do not certify your classes until the Request form is submitted. • For students using the Post 9/11 GI Bill or Voc Rehab, you MUST turn in the Request for Certification in order for your fees to be deferred. Without that form submitted to the VA Certifying Offiical, you may be dropped for nonpayment.
