Veteran Students and Dependents

Welcome to Folsom Lake College!  The FLC Veterans Resource Center (VRC) (in Aspen Hall, located next to Admissions & Records) provides assistance to veterans and dependents who may be eligible for various VA educational benefits.

Hours of Service for the Summer session
FLC main campus:

Monday-Thursday            8:30 am - 6:30 pm
Friday                                Varies - please call the VRC for hours
The Veterans Resource Center is staffed by veterans for veterans!  It provides a space for veterans to gather, socialize, do homework, and form relationships with other veterans.  Here are some of the services and free perks available in the VRC:
* Assistance with the transition from active duty to student life and starting up your GI Bill
* Priority registration
* Study space
* Computer and Printer use
* Coffee and other food items
* A place to relax between classes

CONTINUING STUDENTS:
• Turn in your FLC VA Request for Certification form to the VA Certifying Official.  We do not assume you will be using your GI Bill, so we do not certify your classes until the Request form is submitted. 
• For students using the Post 9/11 GI Bill or Voc Rehab, you MUST turn in the Request for Certification in order for your fees to be deferred.  Without that form submitted to the VA Certifying Offiical, you may be dropped for nonpayment.
