Veteran Students and Dependents

Welcome to Folsom Lake College!  The FLC Veteran Affairs' department, housed in Admissions & Records, provides assistance to veterans and their dependents who may be eligible for various educational benefits.

CURRENT NEWS!
• If you've enrolled in spring classes, make sure to turn in your FLC Veterans and Dependents Request for Certification form to the A&R office to initiate your spring VA benefits. 
• Make sure to notify the VA certifying official with any schedule changes, address or phone # changes, etc.

PROSPECTIVE STUDENTS:
Initial steps to receiving your Veteran Benefits:
• Apply to Folsom Lake College
• Take assessment test
• Have your official transcripts from ALL prior colleges sent to FLC Admissions (other than Los Rios colleges)
• Fill out Student Intake form (located online or in office)
• Apply for your Veteran Benefits
• Turn in any required documentation, i.e., DD-214, NOBE, marriage license, etc.
• Meet with a counselor for a VA educational plan (after assessments and transcripts are on file)
