Student Health Insurance

Los Rios Community College District does not require students to have health insurance. If you are seeking health insurance, information is available at the FLC Health and Wellness Services office or by calling (916) 608-6782. You can also log onto www.studentinsuranceagency.com for information about special insurance rates for Los Rios District students.

Recent legislative changes have made it possible that students older than 23 years and younger than 26 years are eligible to continue or be reinstated to your parent's health insurance. Click the following link for additional information: www.getcoveredca.org

International Students are required to have health insurance coverage for the duration of their enrollment at Folsom Lake College or any of the Los Rios District colleges. Registration holds are placed on all international students until proof of insurance is provided. Proof of insurance should be presented to Ronda Callaway in Student Services at the Folsom campus. If an insurance plan other than Wells Fargo of California Insurance Services (http://studentinsurance.wellsfargo.com) is purchased, an insurance waiver form must be completed and returned to the Admissions & Records Office.

Information regarding other insurance options is also available from the College Nurse.
