Articulation

Articulation is the process that links the curriculum between community colleges and universities so that students can transfer from a community college to a university without experiencing a delay or duplication of coursework. Articulated courses at Folsom Lake College are those that are identified by a university as equivalent or comparable to courses taught on a university campus. Completing an articulated course, for a specific major or for general education, enables students to satisfy a university admission and/or graduation requirement while at Folsom Lake College prior to transfer. Folsom Lake College has articulation agreements with the University of California (UC), and the California State University (CSU), and accredited private and out of state colleges.

Folsom Lake College Articulation Agreements with the California State University and University of California can be found at www.assist.org.

Successful transfer planning involves developing an educational plan that includes a combination of articulated courses for major preparation, and general education. Students are strongly encouraged to meet with a counselor to develop an educational plan. The Folsom Lake Counseling Department can be reached at (916) 608-6510.
