Student Elections Spring 2015

Folsom Lake College Voter Guide

Candidates for the Associated Students of Folsom Lake College (ASFLC) - Student Senate & Clubs & Events Board (CAEB)

Student Senate President:
Andrew Shoemaker

  • My name is Andrew Shoemaker, and I am running to be President of the Associated Students of Folsom Lake College Student Senate.  I am currently the Vice-President of the Student Senate, and want to continue to serve the students of FLC to the best of my abilities as President.  It is my second semester here at FLC, and I am majoring in political science and the humanities.  I humbly ask for your vote and your trust in me to represent you to our administration, district, and state. Thank you!

Student Senate Treasurer:
Christopher Wetz

  • I have prior experience as a Treasurer for a community service club.
  • I am willing to make compromises and hear every person's opinion before going forward with a decision for the club.
  • I have excellent attendance, so there are more opportunities for me to help the club with tasks that need to be done including those beyond my duties as Treasurer.

Student Senate Secretary:
Taylor Zenobia

  • My name is Taylor Zenobia and I am a life long resident of Folsom. I have taken classes at Folsom Lake College for three semesters now and I have enjoyed being apart of the college community and getting to know many people on campus. I strongly believe in the junior college system and am convinced that being senate secretary will help me expand as well as enrich the Folsom Lake College campus. With being senate secretary my plan is to help improve the campus with interactive events that will bring the student community together. I hope to be apart of creating a better environment for students and faculty alike. It is important to me that everyone has a good learning environment and a place to take their concerns. I want the students of Folsom Lake College to be able to express what they need from the administration and as senate secretary I hope to be able to facilitate this. You have a voice and it should be heard.

CAEB Vice Commissioner:
Kiet Tat

  • Kiet Han Tat is an alumni of Cordova High School Class of 2013. During the time he spent at Cordova, he was elected into Student Government as class treasure, ASB treasure, and Technology Commissioner. Tat is a communication major and has completed an internship as Folsom Cordova Unified School District's Communication Intern.  At Folsom Lake College, Tat chartered and served as president of Circle K International, the largest collegiate service organization in the world. With his leadership and work experience, Tat hopes to make a positive impact in his community and school. Thank you!
