Out of State Testing

If you live out of the state or too far away to complete assessment testing at Folsom Lake College, you can request to take the assessment tests at an approved facility in your local area.

  1. You must be an active FLC student with a Folsom Lake College student ID number in order to test.
  2. Contact a local college or educational institution in your area to ask if they will proctor FLC placement tests for you. The average test time is about 2.5 hours. The college may charge you a fee for test proctoring services.
  3. Once you have located a proctor, email the following information to hyderr@flc.losrios.edu
  • the student's name and FLC student ID number
  • the name and job title of the person who will proctor the tests
  • the phone number and email address for the person who will proctor the tests
  • a complete mailing address for the school where the tests will be sent
  • the student's choice of math assessment (algebra readiness, elementary algebra, intermediate algebra, precalculus)

After the assessment office receives this information, we will contact the proctor to confirm that he/she has agreed to proctor the FLC tests. Then, we will mail the proctor the instructions and our tests. The student will make a testing appointment with the school that is proctoring the tests.

Test Proctoring Services for Other Institutions

The FLC Assessment Center does not provide proctoring services for tests outside of our college.
