Students admitted into FYE will have to complete a College Prep Meeting and an FYE Orientation.  Both the College Prep Meeting and FYE Orientation are mandatory for all students participating in FYE@FLC.

  • Confirm enrollment in FYE classes.
  • Verify required textbooks for FYE classes.
  • Determine any remaining Steps to Success that need completing.
  • Assess interest in student services such as Financial Aid, EOPS, Disabled Student Programs & Services, and Counseling.
  • Review eServices and its many features.
  • Obtain their Student ID card.
  • Have an opportunity to ask any pressing questions regardng college life and expectations.
  • Orientation Pre-survey
  • Orientation Post-survey

Attending FYE Welcome Day will give students the opportunity to:

  • Meet the FYE faculty.
  • Learn what to expect in your first semester of college.
  • Meet their Peer Mentor.
  • Get to know other FYE students.
  • Prepare for the first day of college.
