California Digital Library: The California Digital
Library (CDL) is accessible through the link, Melvyl
Catalog. "The California Digital
Library supports the assembly and creative use of the world's
scholarship and knowledge for the University of California
libraries and the communities they serve. In addition,
the CDL provides tools that support the construction of
online information services for research, teaching, and
learning, including services that enable the UC libraries
to effectively share their materials and provide greater
access in digital content."
California
Libraries Catalog: The California Online Union Catalog
provides OCLC cataloging records for books and other
materials available in many of the libraries throughout
the State of California. The Califa Library Group is "supported
by the U.S. Institute of Museum and Library Services
under the provisions of the Library Services and Technology
Act, administered in California by the State Librarian."

Libraries Directory: A specific list of links to Public and
Academic libraries throughout the State listed by City.
California State Library: The State Library provides
in-person reference and directional assistance to all Library
Patrons throughout the State of California. The State Library
Service Bureau (SLS) provides library services to a variety
of library users, both directly and indirectly through
other libraries. It also provides online access to the
library's catalog, TDD (telecommunications device for the
deaf and hearing impaired) access, a directory of California
libraries, literacy tutoring programs, Internet access
at specified public libraries, braille and recorded books,
as well as library career and training information for
California's diverse population, and a full range of library
functions.
Council of California County Law Librarians: Use the
list of links to access the websites for the California
County Law Libraries. "The Council of California County
Law Librarians is comprised of representatives from the
County Law Libraries throughout the state. Mandated by
statute in 1891, county law libraries are open to the public,
are governed by Boards of Trustees, and are funded primarily
by civil filing fees."
El Dorado
County Law Library: "The El Dorado County Law Library
offers self service computerized legal research at its two locations
at 550 Main Street, Suite A, in Placerville and at its newly relocated
branch in the County Library at 1000 Rufus Allen Blvd., in South
Lake Tahoe. The service includes CD ROM and on line access to Lexis
Nexis at no charge. Free training is also available."
El Dorado
County Library: For library hours by location in El
Dorado County, click: Hours
of Operation. Students can use these libraries when the EDC
Library is closed (i.e. weekends).
Folsom Public Library: Students can use this library
when either College Center Library is closed (i.e. FLC
or EDC).
Guide
to Bay Area Libraries : A regional directory of Northeren

Library of Congress:
"The Library of Congress is the nation's oldest federal
cultural institution, and it serves as the research arm of
Congress. It is also the largest library in the world, with

bookshelves. The collections include more than 18 million
books, 2.5 million recordings, 12 million photographs, 4.5
million maps, and 54 million manuscripts."

Library
of Congress Classification Outline: This page
lists the letters and titles of the main classes
of the Library of Congress Classification used by
most College/University Libraries in the United States.
The call numbers on the spine labels of each book on the
library shelves include the combination of these
letters and numbers which represent the subject categories
in this classification system.
