Tutor Guidelines:

Please do not
eat or drink in the Tutoring Center.
·
Make sure you
fill out an add card on your first visit each semester. “Supervised Tutoring” is considered a
zero-unit, zero-credit course to facilitate your success as students, and we
need to keep track of how many students use the service.
·
Please sign in
and out on the Sign In Sheet on the clipboard as you enter the room. You will also need to sign in on the
computer so that we can track subjects and hours spent.
·
Remember that
students are expected to come to tutoring prepared; we encourage you to have
completed all homework and reading assignments and have specific questions for
the tutor.
What tutors can do:
·
Review and
explain assignments.
·
Help you
understand what the instructor expects.
·
Clarify
information presented by the instructor in class.
·
Help you
understand the textbook and utilize the information it contains.
·
Provide you
with additional examples to reinforce concepts.
TUTORING IS FREE
TO ALL STUDENTS!
What tutors cannot
do:
·
Teach you
material that you have not read or heard in class.
·
Write speeches
or term papers.
·
Do your
homework for you.
