Description:
This is an
integrated, interdisciplinary course which introduces the non-science major
student to the physical sciences. Areas covered will include astronomy,
physics, chemistry and geology. The purpose of the course is to trace the
development of modern scientific concepts, to analyze a number of natural
phenomena, and to explore the significance of science.
What the Course is About and Why YOU Should Take It:
This course
is a great overview of general science topics that are relevant to everyone’s
daily life. Things like motion,
electricity, light, how does biological life work, nuclear power, solar power,
global warming, etc… Most students tell
me they had fun and learned a lot.
