This course will help students acquire
the information competency skills necessary to conduct academic or personal
research. It provides a step-by-step guide to the research process that is
applicable to term papers, course work, and life-long learning. It emphasizes
developing effective search strategies, selecting information tools, locating
and retrieving information sources, analyzing and critically evaluating
information, organizing and using information.

LIBRARY 318 will be offered as a 1-unit, first 8-week, online course. One assignment requires the use of Folsom Lake College Library or El Dorado Center Library material and must be done on campus. All other work can be completed off-campus |
