Jen Vernon, Communication Studies professor at Sierra College is teaming up with the FLC Equity Center to host a Clean Mouth All Open Mic on Tuesday, April 30 from 4:00 to 6:00 pm in the Equity Center/Welcome Center.

All are welcome! Bring your peace poems, songs, quotes, excerpts from speeches, plays, books, movies, your peaceful heart, your listening ears, your positive vibes. Get it off your chest, release some stress.

This society spends a lot of time, energy and money on war, violence, and clean up in the aftermath of climate neglect, mental health and unhoused crisis after crisis. Let's take a little time out to focus on peace.

Join us for relief and renewal as we wrap up April, National Poetry Month, and National Sexual Assault Awareness Month before moving into finals and graduation season in May.
